“Firstly I should say I was a huge fan of the third edition, so I was eagerly awaiting this new edition. The switch from greyscale to colour makes the book and diagrams prettier that’s for sure, but isn’t a big thing for me because the content of the book is what makes it my favourite textbook. 2 new chapters have been added (the Cancer chapter is a perfect edition as veterinary oncology becomes more and more a feature of each practice’s income, and as such needs to be in each veterinarians bank of knowledge). The diagrams are (and always have been) excellent, often referenced by lecturers to explain a key concept or drill home a complicated issue. The clinical correlations and practice questions are something every text should have because they invite you to test if you have understood anything you’ve been reading, and with a large number of practice questions in the FREE online learning resource it just gets better and better.
